FIRE SPRINKLER SUPPLY & INSTALLATION

TYPES OF SPRINKLERS

All fire sprinklers are one of four types: Pendent, Upright, Sidewall, or Concealed.

PENDENT SPRINKLER

A pendent sprinkler is a type of fire sprinkler that is installed on the ceiling with the sprinkler head hanging downwards. When the sprinkler is activated by heat from a fire, it discharges water in a downward, circular pattern to cover the area below it.

Pendent Sprinkler

UPRIGHT SPRINKLER

An upright sprinkler is a type of fire sprinkler that is mounted in an upright position, meaning the sprinkler head faces upward. It is designed to spray water upward toward a deflector, which then distributes the water in a circular pattern over the area below.

Upright Sprinkler

SIDEWALL SPRINKLER

A sidewall sprinkler is a type of fire sprinkler that is mounted on a wall instead of the ceiling. It is designed to spray water in a half‑circular (semi‑circular) pattern, covering the area below and outwards from the wall.

CONCEALED SPRINKLER

A concealed sprinkler is a type of automatic fire sprinkler that is hidden behind a decorative cover plate or ceiling cap. The sprinkler and its components are installed flush with the ceiling, making it less visible and more aesthetically pleasing while still providing full fire protection.
